CASA is a national volunteer movement that began in the late 1970s, when Judge David Soukup in Seattle decided he needed to know more about the children whose lives were in his hands. His solution was to ask community volunteers to act as a “voice in court” for abused and neglected children.

Lone Star CASA 6th Annual 5K and FUN RUN/WALK
Every child needs a hero but abused children need superheroes!
Run, walk or fly to the 6th annual Lone Star CASA Superhero Run where you can be a superhero for children! So strap on a super cape and bring your super powers to this “ZOWIE” event!
This November hundreds of caring people will join together as a league of superheroes – family members, friends, professionals, community and business leaders – to help make a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children and to increase awareness of the challenges they face on a daily basis.
Become part of the movement of individuals, corporations and organizations that are proud to lead the fight against child abuse. Join the fight by sponsoring a morning of running and family fun to enable CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) to be a voice of children in need of Superheroes. The Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium in Rockwall offers a great 5K course that accommodates all levels of expertise. Chipped-timed by Rockwall Running Center the event also includes a Family-Fun Run and a Kidz’ Super-Dash for children five and under… How can you join the league of superheroes?

Costumes are optional, but they will definitely increase the fun!

Packet Pickup will be at Rockwall Running Center located at 539 E. IH 30 in Rockwall (next to Pak N Post). You can pickup your packet on either Thursday, October 30th from 10-7 or on Friday, October 31st from 10-5 and race day am beginning at 7:30am until 8:45 am (for 5k).
